Jack's Prime Burgers Shakes - San Mateo

We are long time customers of Jacks Prime but today was my last order. The $23 cheeseburger has changed- they are now using a thin frozen pre-made patty- it was not good. The extremely thick fries are nothing like the thin fries they use to serve. Sad to say we wont. be ordering again.

One of the best, if not the best, burger and shaking joints in bay area. burger are cooked to absolute perfection and super fresh and juicy. the rolls are soft and the sides are all delicious. delicious. the shakes are super creamy and clean. we had the chocolate dripping butter and the salted caramel on the way out, and they were the thickest and smoothest I ever had. the simple, small and simple selection of beer and wein is also good for those who have difficulty deciding. the cleanliness of the diner is amazing and the service is absolutely top notch. linda is wonderful! the tables were very long and can accommodate 6 diners comfortably or super spacious for 4 or 2. there are plexiglass dividers between stands for comfort and safety. my new favourite place. I can't believe I didn't eat before. when it comes to the many burger sites, they have not found their favorites until they at least try this place. it is an absolute must.

Warm, inviting, retro vintage vibe with modern touches. super clean diner with delicious dine and fabulous service. our server was so friendly. highly recommended!

Solid burger joint and great for children. their shakes are great to old school in the metal cup with a beautiful selection of aromen, my son loves the minze cookies. the salads are also great. also French pommes and tweeper rings are good. I wish a place would make steak pommes again, but that's just me. most seats are in stands for children who always fall. the staff is super friendly and the staff of the kitchen is efficient with good quality eating. the bacon cheeseburger is my way, children love the grilled cheese and the slides. the sliders are good, better than many other places. I'm a bit boring with the menu, but overall I'll give it 5 stars.

Decided to come here after work with honey to dinner before returning to the east bay. When we arrived, we sat right away. our waitress has offered our whole time a great service there. our food was very hot, fresh and homemade. recommend the twill rings and their shaking. If I ever want a burger, I'd come back here totally.
