We LOVE arise Woodfire. I brought new friends and they LOVED it too. The food and ambience are fabulous- our go to in San Mateo. Service is always super friendly, but spotty and slow. Getting the handheld card readers to work, even taking orders on them seems to often be a problem. Ordering online is also buggy. A few more servers seem to be needed to keep things moving and an expediter to get everyone’s food out at the same time. HOWEVER, it’s such a nice experience, that we just know now to count on the service taking extra time.

We had a lovely meal at Rise Woodfire San Mateo. Super Food Bowl, BBQ Combo Platter, and Cheesecake were amazing.
