The Field Club - San Mateo

I've wanted to try this place for years. I would always notice it when passing by but would forget about it. Finally, I made a point to visit the Field Club for an early dinner. The restaurant and bar have a lovely ambiance that suits my taste perfectly. We ordered the steak frites and the prime rib sandwich, and we enjoyed both immensely. The portions were just right, the meat was juicy and cooked to perfection, and the fries were crispy and flavorful. The au jus for the prime rib sandwich was absolutely delicious! The service was excellent—attentive and quick. We’ve officially added the Field Club to our list of favorite restaurants.

They offer a lovely menu and have an excellent staff. I've been there at least five times, and each time I enjoyed great food and service. It's not easy to maintain this level of quality during the pandemic, so kudos to them for a job well done!

Even better than before! It's been a while since I had breakfast here, and I was worried it wouldn't live up to my memories. The frittata was perfectly cooked, with three different cheeses and mushrooms. The avocado toast was a hit—absolutely perfect. And the Eggs Benedict was out of this world. Give this place a try; you won't be disappointed!

Great food and drinks. they always have good suppe. my favorite meal is the prime rib dip sandwich. and they usually have pliney on tap. great atmosphere and cool casual neighboring vibes

Since I can't help edit the hours properly, keep in mind the kitchen closes at 9PM every day! They do stay open later for drinks! One of my all time favorite restaurants for food and drinks! The staff is so friendly and it just feels like your neighborhood spot!
