The Field Club - San Mateo

You have a nice menu and a great staff. I was there at least 5 times and had good food and service all. Hard to do during the pandemic, cheers for a job well done.

I?ve been wanting to try this place for years, I would notice it when in the area but would keep forgetting about it. Finally I added The Field Club to my list of places to try and made it their for an early dinner. The space and bar are very nice, just my style. We had Steak Frites and the Prime Rib sandwich. We loved both. The portions were really just right. The meats were juicy and cooked just right. The fries were crispy and flavorful. The au Jus for the Prime Rib Sandwich was delicious! The service was very nice, attentive and quick. We?re adding The Field Club to our list of favorites.

Since I can't help edit the hours properly, keep in mind the kitchen closes at 9PM every day! They do stay open later for drinks! One of my all time favorite restaurants for food and drinks! The staff is so friendly and it just feels like your neighborhood spot!

Great local hide away. Good drinks, good food, great staff. Ahi was delicious with great aoli. The brussel sprouts were seasoned well with tasty balsamic reduction and crispy bacon. Kids chicken nuggets were on point. Wish they had an adult order available. Pops lasagna was delicious and the house made garlic bread accented it well.

Even better than before. It has been a while since I had breakfast here and I must our group was not disappointed. The frittata was superbly cooked with three different cheese and mushrooms. The avocado toast was a hit. Perfect. And the eggs Benedict out of this world. Give this place a shot. You will enjoy it.
