Bj's Brewhouse San Rafael

We had a family gathering on Super Bowl Sunday, and our experience was quite disappointing. Our waiter was often absent and had a strong body odor, which was really off-putting. We requested our bill from two different servers, but instead of bringing it, they went to find the manager. Eventually, I found our waiter, who had been assigned to greet guests at the front for a while, but no one was attending to our table. When he finally came back, he took a long time to take another table's order. Frustrated, I approached another waiter to ask for our bill, but they also left to find the manager to assist us. It just didn’t make any sense.

Even though my Open Table reservation didn't seem to be registered or recognized, we had a pleasant dining experience overall. I hope the restaurant has resolved this issue since then. The service was a bit slow, perhaps because our server had too many tables to manage.

We ordered the tavern cut pizza, which was part of the Monday special, to share. The daily specials are a great deal at half price. I'm particularly fond of the loaded burger on Wednesdays!

I love their tavern cut California Club pizza. That’s what I ordered with a glass of Jeramiah Red beer. Waiter was harried and anxious. Otherwise it was a good day.

SERVICE WAS A LITTLE SLOW DUE TO A BUSY AFTERNOON. IT TOOK A WHILE TO GET TAKEOUT BOXES AND A WHILE LONGER TO GET THE CHECK.
