Gaucho Nightclub San Ramon

Pros: friendly staff most meats were good. I really liked the ribbed eye and the meat that had a garlic marinade found some surprisingly delicious options at the salad/side bar. The roasted spits were perfectly roasted and well seasoned. The potatoes and the sweet potato mash were creamy and well seasoned. Dessert was delicious. The lemon cake was really good. It reminded me of a Tres Leches cake with lemon Could be better: salad/side bar looked rather sad and the labels were not next to any item. the lamb was sooo playful too much Zilantro on the fillet mignon, taken from meat quite expensive for what you get This restaurant is in such a strange location, it does not make it really inviting. When you enter first, the first thing you see is the dance floor, which is really strange for someone coming in Dine. The decor lends itself more to a nightclub than a restaurant that somehow makes sense, as this place becomes a lounge at a certain point (I guess weekends). To complement the strange experience, we were one of only two tables that were fed to the restaurant on Thursday night.

The Good:Service is good. Folks are attentive and nice. Rib Eye was good. Chicken drumstick was good. Pineapple with Cinnamon and Brown sugar was very good. The Bad:We were one of the first seating. Cheese bread was cold when served. Salad bar was sad. Tomato Mozzarella Basil was Frozen. Yes Frozen! The Cesar salad was wilted. The pico de gallo was awful. The meat. I eat a lot of lamb. And the lamb was the gamiest I ever tasted, and I couldn't eat it. The filet mignon was tough. Rest of the meat was ok. Dessert. The Brazilian version of flan had a weird burnt taste. The lava cake was dry.Probably will not go back. It's expensive and I expected better.

This is my first time at Gaucho Brazilian Steakhouse but I have been to other similar restaurants in the Bay Area, and this place was very disappointing. The service was very slow. We sat at 7:15pm and no server came to our table until 7:45pm. We have to flag them to come to our table. The salad bar barely had any offerings except for wilted lettuce and some toppings, mash potatoes and some cold cut meats which I did not bother to try because it looked like it's been sitting there all day. The meats came around very slowly and only about 8 different choices of meats when advertised 15 different choices. The meats were under seasoned, and majority were overcooked. For the price they charge, we expected more and better. This place was not busy on a Friday night. It also turns into a club at 9pm. They have a DJ that night and played 90's music. He even played Dibi Dibi Bum Bum by Selena not really the music people want to dance to. I don't recommend this place and will not come back here again. 1 star is for them honoring the 20% off entire bill if you checked in to yelp. They had to call the manager to approve it and that took another 20 mins.

Got me a Groupon! All excited for date night ! ..... what food we did get served was tasty. I can say that but .... for the amount of money I sure wanted to try more than 4 meats when boasted they have 15 different choices ..... place was not busy when we arrived. Took 20 mins for first meats to arrive.... just a let down. Then to get the bill ... we were a table.of 2 .... large party gratuity of 20 ..... it was definitely not a 200 dollar meal ..... I would definitely skip it !

So not worth the money… no ambiance, few people on a Friday night.. over use of projecting videos (projecting on people).. no ambiance.. understaffed but the crew that was there half works really hard and the other half stood around… food was mediocre .. sad
