Bidra med feedbackI felt this place was good but a bit overpriced for the portion size. I ordered fish and chips. The fish was really good and crispy, but portion of fries were small and mine were cold in the middle. I liked the Brussel sprouts. I didn't care for the truffle tots. They had some original lemonade/punch flavors that I liked.Food: 4/5
The shrimp roll and fried pickles are worth the trip. I like that the bread on the roll is basically a garlic bread.
Ordered the poke bowl it's MASSIVE. Comes with edamame, cucumber, avocado, ginger, wonton crisps, rice, tuna. PLENTY of sauce and they even gave me some extra sesame dressing and spicy Mayo. I am a BIIIIG poke bowl girl, so I'm pretty picky. The flavors of the bowl were really good and this was honestly the biggest bowl I've ever gotten. Total price was $15 (after tax) which is a great price for poke. I've been to other places that charge way more for way less. Was it the best poke bowl I've ever had? Probably not, it's got more of an American take on it and not a traditional bowl, BUT it was still delish. The restaurant in general smelled super good. I could see myself going back to try some of their other things.
Slapfish is and always will be delicious! They recently redid their menu, which for me was equally as disappointing as it was exciting because the old menu had some delicious items (like the surf and turf burger and chowder fries) that we are now missing, but the fish bowls and fish and chips are even better than before. The restaurant switched out chowder fries for chowder tots, which are yummy but seem to be a much smaller portion than the chowder fries were. Ultimately we love slap fish both ways, but wish they could have revamped the menu without totally scrapping some of the old favorites. This place is always delicious and fresh, and we love it! It's a little pricy for how casual of a restaurant it is, but I suppose that is to be expected for how fresh the fish is. If you've never tried slap fish then you are missing out!
Very disappointed with the value. Lobster roll was some buttered lobster meat inside of a hotdog bun! $27 for that? We also ordered the grilled Mahi Mahi salad. They served it with a different dressing than the on we ordered. Fish was on the dry side. Salad portion was good with fresh vegetables. Fries were excellent!Food: 2/5
