China Cooks - Sandy Springs

China Cooks is a charming little Chinese restaurant with consistently delicious food and excellent service. The only downside is the surroundings; there are often many workers around, and the outside of the shopping center could use some improvement. However, the food is fantastic and very affordable. The restaurant usually isn’t crowded, making it a pleasant alternative to the typical lunch spots in Sandy Springs.

Don't let the exterior deceive you. The neighborhood might seem a bit sketchy, but the food is excellent. The house fried rice and the egg rolls are my favorites!

I was pleasantly surprised by how good this restaurant was. I was searching for Chinese food in the area and decided to try this spot instead of my usual choice, Canton of Chefs, and I'm so glad I did! I sampled a few dishes: the Japanese tofu was on point. The tofu was delicious, and the sauce was just right. They also surprised me with this dish, and I’m really glad they did. The salt and pepper squid was crunchy, not overly breaded, and seasoned perfectly. The salty fish fried rice might not be for everyone, but it's something I always enjoy. There was a good amount of salty fish mixed in, making it quite tasty. The location is a bit questionable, as it's situated in a not-so-great strip mall, so you wouldn't expect such a restaurant to be here. The interior could use some work as it’s not the cleanest. Overall, I’m impressed and will definitely be returning!

Because of the appearance of the mall, I'm skeptical to come here... but I'm glad. I ordered the Seasam chicken w/pan fries rice and it was delicious! The food was very fresh..i will come here regularly!
