Pdq Sanford

We went there yesterday for a late lunch. We've only eaten a PDQ twice last time was a couple months ago at this same location. The first time food and service was absolutely amazing. So we figured we'd hit it up again on our way back through as we travela lot for doctors appointments for our child. Yesterday however in the drive thru staff was mediocre at best. The young lady atthe window that took the order extremely sweet. At the second window however it seemed more like we were a bother than a payingcustomer. I ordered the chicken sandwich meal my wife order the spicy chicken meal 2 drinks and 2 small milk shakes. My sandwichwas horrible the bun on the bottom was hard as a rock, and the lettuce was like one of the hard white pieces of lettuce. I askedmy wife about her food, and she said she hers was good. The milk shakes tasted fine, but as we got to the bottom of them theylooked more like cottage cheese than what a milkshake is suppose to look like. Unfortunately being that we had a 2 hour drivehome. I didn't turn around and complain, and we hadn't eaten all day so we just ate on the fly. My wife has been good meunfortunately not so good. Bad stomach cramps and a upset stomach all night and into today. I really enjoyed the first visit andI understand any place can have a bad day, which may have been exactly that yesterday. J

This place is very consistent. Good food, friendly staff, and never forget items from your order. We stop in every time we are in the area. The dipping sauced are to die for. Try them all. They never give you a hard time about getting extra sauces.

[EDIT 6/27/22] Restaurant was closed for dine in. Left and went someplace else. It's time to manage your restaurant properly, no excuses. You let us down tonight. -ORIGINAL REVIEW- The food is exceptional here each time we go. I will not call the menuprices cheap, pretty average, most meals are currently under $10 and include a drink. If you subscribe to their rewardsprogram, they do routinely have specials and bonus rewards that will turn your meal into a bargain for the quality. Don't missout on amazing deals, and I think they give you three tenders just for subscribing. Sauces are made in house, they have lots ofdrink options from specially made tea to Coca-Cola Freestyle. Be sure to take them up on their handwashing station, it's niceto have clean hands and the soap is really good. On top of the consistently delicious food, the service is among the best Iever get. This is not a table service restaurant, but they carried the food to my table today, for example. Even if they don'tthough, which they can't always, it's almost always ready to go a couple minutes after ordering. You can really get in and outof the dining room quickly. Even if you can't dine in, they have a fantastic drive-thru service, just don't wait too long beforeenjoying your meal. I've written a lot, I just can't say enough great things about Sanford's PDQ. They're by far my favoriteand I hope to come back again and again.

PDQ as a company is great, I've just never been able to say that their chicken has wowed me. I'm always disappointed in the temperature and flavor. I even gave it the benefit of the doubt and went back a few times to see if it was just a bad day and Iwas disappointed every time. I will say that they can definitely make a waffle fry 1000% better than Chic fil a. I enjoyedthose, but it's not enough to make me try it again.

The honey butter sandwich wasn’t great, but everything else was absolutely top-notch.
