Bidra med feedbackFabulous food from the 23.90e 3-course menu. Each dish was excellent and so hard to choose what to order. In any case, you will come back when in Calais. Easy to find and to park in the medical center over the street.
Had a recommendation from our good friends in Majestic Wine Coquelles to try the set menu for lunch, we had a nice 2-course menu with very pleasant and efficient service. Great value and we'll be the next time we get over the canal from Britain to fill up our wine supplies. Do not let off, it is next to a roundabout and parking is allowed on the Pharmacy parking only the other side of the roundabout.
I had passed this restaurant many times, but as it's only open 3 nights a week this was my first time. I had excellent coarse paté with a core of foie gras, a skewer of beautiful lamb that a spoon could have cut and a...superb creme brulée. Excellent house wine. When I return to Calais it will be my first port of call.
No warm welcome, no welcome at all in fact, seriously ill tempered waitress/owner , needs to change either her attitude or her profession. Disgraceful. I have never been cross enough with a restaurant to write a review like this but this experience was from another...dimension. There are far better places to spend your hard earned cash!
This restaurant has recently changed hands but we found it a perfect place to finish a trip to France. The menu is small (about 3 choices for each course) but everything was perfectly cooked and beautifully presented. Run by a husband and wife team (he...in the kitchen, she in the restaurant) the service was professional but friendly and the prices are very reasonable. We will use it from now on when returning home through Calais.
