Traders - Sanibel Island

This is the best restaurant we tried in Sanibel/Captiva. It is very nice inside and quiet compared to the rough sports bar Vibe from many other places there. The waiting staff was plentiful and on their game... our server was very good about checking on us, removing plates, refilling drinks etc. Delicious hot multigrain bread with herbal oil was quickly brought to the table and was absolutely delicious. My entree was the crab and spinach filled shrimp with lobster ravioli and my husband had parmesan encrusted swordfish with ravioli and it was all great... top quality and prepared perfectly. For dessert we share a slice sea salt caramel cheese cake with vanilla ice cream and whipped cream. It was to die! The meal was a bit more expensive than most restaurants in the area, but the food and the atmosphere was worth every cent. Trader's will be on my list next visit, which I hope is not too far away!

Traders, traders, traders....where do I start??? Traders are fucked in the palms on Periwinkle and full of taste! The menu only offers enough to satisfy everyone. The shrimps and grits are full of taste with the white cheddar gowns and the black shrimps so a hearty combination on a plate. The mussels pasta is full of gifts from the sea with a srumpy red sauce. They offer small plates, including a house made veal that melt in your mouth and you will be fully abandoned. Each duck is served with warm bread and olive oil diving sauce, trader stages the game with cloth tablecloths and attached upscale gift shop. That was my first visit, and I'm counting until the return. While the parking lot is large, as a bonus they offer complementary parking possibilities. While on Sanibel, please do yourself a favor and hold to Trader! Reservations suggested in high season or to guarantee your place in the cooking table.

Delicious food and great crowd! But definitely the quality you get. We tried the specials tonight of lobster dick filled with crabs/spindle and lobster ravioli and Chilean lake bass with risotto. Definitely recommend

The best dinner of our trip. We had the specials, Chilean Sea Bass and Crab Stuffed Shrimp. They were amazing. Also divided Rohaustern and iur daughter had the children's ribs, which is by far the best value on the island. To dessert we shared the imagination, just amazing. A decadent brownie with nuts of Eive Cream and hard chocolate, just delicious. Service and atmosphere were excellent. Will definitely be back next time on the island.

This is a perfect place for special groups. If your family includes anyone that has challenges with stairs, if you might need to accompany your family to the restroom, if you would like a special service, please remember Traders. This restaurant has delectable freshly prepared food and provides parking, entrances, seating, restrooms and shopping that is accessible to all. #ADA Plus, our lunch was enjoyed by all! Fresh oysters, chowder, salads, fish and shrimp. Perfection, really!
