Ruby's Diner - Santa Ana

The staff was lovely, and our food arrived promptly. The breakfast sandwich was quite large. The coffee was average. Overall, it was a decent choice for an airport breakfast at 5:30 AM.

I had the Cobb Burger, and it was delicious. It features smoked bacon, creamy blue cheese, fresh avocado, crisp iceberg lettuce, and tomato slices. I barely had to wait during lunchtime, and there are plenty of seats available compared to other restaurants in John Wayne Airport. If you're looking for a place to sit right away, Ruby's Diner is definitely one of the best options.

Superburger was enjoyable, although it was a bit greasy and larger than expected.

At first we waited near the bar and the next door take Deli on the shield, which said please wait to sit, after a few minutes we were told that the host was on the other side of the bar in the restaurant; so we went there to wait 5-10 minutes to be told. We had 45 minutes before boarding and from previous reviews we were hoping we were fed, paying and able to come in this time. We did it in about 45 minutes after we had our waiter twice down to pay. I ordered the Rubinburger with cheese and garlic fries and man got the chicken pliers app with the three sauces. Everything was fine, nothing special not that it is absolutely expected in the airport diner-style food. The staff was busy, but also spent a lot of time Chit Chattin at the order intake Pay Station that I felt influenced the unnecessary delays and it is in the open, so everyone can see that it happens a bit of gossip : After we waited to sit and were accompanied to our location, we have heard that the hostess someone say that the bar area first comes served first... okay, it is now too late, but knowledge can be late

Receptionist had horrible communication skills. Almost felt like we were bothering her to give them money. Table was sticky and dirty. Wait staff took long time to take order. Training and leadership needed!
