Bidra med feedbackFans of Mediterranean cuisine and hard to find good take out places that execute well flavorful food, good portion size, freshness, price point but this place hit all the right notes and very friendly as an added bonus. Their garlic tannin sauce hit the spot with the extra Falstaff we ordered because who doesn't NEED a side of a dozen Falstaff?!. The only thing I didn't love was the hummus, but perhaps we will try the garlic one next time because, of course, we will be ordering from here again.
The Chicken Kabob plate was pretty good....I've had better but it was not too shabby. There was only one cook, so service in terms of wait time for the food was a little longer than I had hoped for. The cook takes his time to prepare the dishes. The hummus was creamy and delicious. The rice and pita bread was good as well. I wish they put some feta cheese into their side salad, it would have made it taste a lot more flavorful. The beef shawerma looked pretty good and popular, maybe i'll give this a try next time. If you eat in and ask for a cup of water, don't drink it! It's tap water and tastes more unappealing than usual. But other than all that, it's a pretty decent place to grab lunch or a casual dinner in the area.
I am visiting from out of town and stumbled across this casual-dining place that sells kabob, gyros, and other Middle-Eastern/Greek type food. I spend a lot of time searching for an excellent kabob or gyro platter, and most places do not meet my standards. SeaSide Grill's combination kabob platter is right up there with the best I've had. High quality meat that is tender and well-prepared with a unique flavor. Hummus is excellent. Quality of greens and rice up to par. For $19 a plate, it's a little pricey, but totally worth it. And the wraps and sandwiches are under $10 if you're looking for something cheaper.
Grabbed a quick bite here while walking around Santa Monica. This was definitely a great Gyro! The lamb was perfect! Staff is super nice! Outside seating is very nice and has views of the Santa Monica Pier area.
The best restaurant in Santa Monica that's not a price fix. Everything is great here. Try the pig face. Valet is a must in this bustling area. Do not settle for little goat diner. It is not the same.
