Wexler's Deli - Santa Ana

Wexler's in Santa Monica has more seats and is way bigger than either their Grand Central Market or the new Century City namesakes.

**This review is only for their Thanksgiving catering** Unless you live in Santa Monica, or money is no object, I can't recommend catering Thanksgiving

A 4.1 star overall does not do Wexler’s justice. I am a NYer who relocated two years ago and the pastrami, corned beef, rye bread etc. all easily rival the best NY delis. This place is killer. It should be 5 out of 5

Ok, the food is delicious but all I can say is check the extra charges for ordering online and to pick up and check your order when you pick it up. I did not check my simple order of two lox on bagels that come with side dishes but when I got home the side dishes were not there. They charged me a 20 per cent tip and you would think they would get the order correct. I called after and asked that they deliver the missing items and they said they could not. Will go elsewhere next time.

How can this place get a 4.1? It must not be because of the pastrami. This pastrami is a 9.7 out of 10. You can’t beat this. I am a connoisseur of pastrami and this is so tender and (not grissle-y) and it has amazing flavor (legit Smokey flavor). Run don’t walk.
