Bouchon Santa Barbara

We had the most Beautiful Birthday experience last night. Our server Tony was Amazing, food was out standing and I cannot say enough about the whole experience. Except that Tony made the night. We are still talking about it today. If you are looking for an evening to remember this is the place.

Both our waiter and the staff were polite and efficient. The ambiance was also quite enjoyable. My wife and I both felt the food was good, but certainly not outstanding. My rib eye, from Snake River farms, (a supplier with whom I am very familiar) was oddly sliced and did not resemble any ribeye I've ever had. My wife's Duck confit was not crispy and she thought the flavor was very different. A good restaurant? Perhaps. But we would not return.

It was our first time at Bouchon and we will certainly be back. The food was outstanding. The service was stellar and we appreciated every recommendation on both food and wine that was offered. The ambiance is lovely.

High quality food served by a very attentive staff in a pleasant environment. The price point is slightly high, but you get an exceptional experience. Is it worth the price? Yes, but likely for special occasions. We had the Salad Nicolaisse, Trio of Scallops, Baked Chicken and Asparagus (side dish). All were noteworthy, although the asparagus was quite routine. We were so full we passed on dessert. Neighboring tables ordered the sea bass and that looked excellent too. Highly recommended.

A perfect meal on July 4th. Rarely if ever can I say every aspect of a meal was outstanding, but between food, wine selection and service we had a 10 of 10 wonderful evening. We went fairly simple with filet and sea bass but both were flavorful and cooked spot on. Next time we will be bolder and trust the popular duck, venison and lamb dishes. The waiter steered us to a local Pinot noir in our price range too. The sides were tasty and creative. Thanks!
