Bidra med feedbackI’m a big fan of Thai food and have been to this restaurant a few times over the years. Unfortunately, it continues to disappoint. If you’re looking for a good bang for buck, this is not the place. You’ll be paying top dollar for mediocre at best dishes. Don’t you dare expect the service staff to be attentive or nice. We gave this place a try again recently, just to be disappointed again. It seems the food quality deteriorated even further along with the quality of service (it’s the same servers, they’re just worse). We ordered the panag curry which came out bland and veggie free. When we communicated that we had order it prior and it was not the same, the staff shamed us, argued that we’re wrong and made it an extremely awkward situation. We ask to try the green curry which also came out watery, bland and had no veggies other than soggy old thin bamboo shoots. Don’t waste your money on this place. They clearly don’t get it.
The food is below average and prepared without love. We paid almost $60 for two simple main meals, two drinks and a dessert. The prices on the menu were listed without tax, so that was on top of it. During the payment process, the owner, a Thai woman, watched us and saw that I didn't give a tip. She then asked if I would like to pay the tip in cash, to which I replied that I did not want to give a tip because the price of the food was very high, the service was anything but outstanding, and the tax was not clearly stated. The woman then began an angry discussion in which she tried to get us to tip her 15%. When we explained to her that we are not used to this in Europe and find it excessive with the astronomical prices, she became more and more aggressive and finally left our table scolding all the other guests to turn around. Anyone who is not willing to pay a $9 tip for poor service and below average food should beware of entering this local!
I got the yellow curry with tofu, asked for no fish sauce and it was no problem. I like the tofu and the taste of the curry broth. it's just a pretty dang good curry. in any case,
Although it is meat served, its place is quite vegan friendly and eating is consistently delicious, extraordinarily good Thai cuisine (often best chosen in santa barbara . the ambiente is casual (although a bit busy at peak times and the service is friendly if not always prompt. quality is similar to her place on milpas and galanga on the lower state street, but for our tastes her place is a step above the rest. They are really master of taste and texture. our eternal favorites are: auberginen tofu curry garlic pfeffer tofu and broccoli pra luck spinach (excellent erdnusssauce spicy mint noodles rahd na with tofu pahd see yew with tofu (ask for no eggs though perhaps less exciting, her pad thai is one of the best they will find everywhere. make sure not to indicate fish sauce only to be safe.
This place has chosen the best Thai place in the city, so natural, I was intrigued. they didn't disappoint. the place has a very authentic feeling, and I think some of the waiting workers (if not the majority, but do not quote me, are actually from Thailand. I had nudelsuppe and it was a humiliated bowl, but it was quite delicious and I am glad that I can enjoy it again tomorrow (or maybe tonight. .
