Bidra med feedbackCharcoal korean bbq. if you can find this anywhere in south bay, let me know pls. until then I am using han sung as my new favorite kbbq connection. the banchan is a lot, the free suppe is fantastic, and the meat is definitiw delicious. this restaurant is quiet and incomprehensible. I find most kbbq places lately too loud and bright. Maybe I get old. ? eating here speaks for itself. try the galbi and bark tongue. I like the marinade they use for the galbi as it is quite easy on soy sauce (I feel as if it tends to burn and turn bitterly fast). the personal grills her meat for her, so they can concentrate on cutting off. they give them free sikhye at the end of their meal to cool off their palate! park is very easy here, as unfortunately there is no more in this plaza.
I usually do not post a review unless the food/service experience is exceptional or the opposite. Unfortunately, this one on the opposite side is a terrible one. Bottom line, I will never come back here, nor will I recommend it to everyone. My experience here will be the theme of all conversations with all I know. I reserved a room for a large group of 15, confirmed 3 times and I was sure I had the room. But we generally sat in seating area. Your explanation was that there was wrong communication. I was confused because I confirmed the same day, but I thought it could happen. I ordered 10 portions of marinated beef short ribs and some other dishes and the servers grilled the meat at our table. The boiled meat I was given was tastefully sour. I thought it was just me. But soon after, more than half the group said the meat tastes sour. I informed the server and the owner, but they claimed that the meat is fresh and that we are excessively sensitive. They took a different amount of meat for us to try, but it was the same. The meat was definitely bad and not for sale. The owner should have known, but even if she wasn't aware, she should have been more attentive to the customers that their food could be bad. But rather she decided to ignore our feedback and went away. I invited my closest friends and family, but dinner was ruined. I felt terrible embarrassed to have chosen such a terrible place for what the happiest night had to be. We left half the meat, but I paid the full price including the top. I'm not asking you to agree with this restaurant! You can eat garbage :
Hansung BBQ is very underrated Korean BBQ place. Their charcoal grill is pretty unique in this area. They take care of your meat, and the service is attentive and careful. The cold noodle is pretty good and great for dessert, though it's not a kind of sweet dessert. They are very proud of their Champing which is spicy seafood noodle. The price is very reasonable too. I really have no idea why this place isn't as popular as other Korean barbecue places, and why those Korean friends of me prefer other places I really have no idea. It's a hidden gem.
Good service and tasty meats but I don't feel it's worth the price. Each order of meat is quite pricey and though the quality is good I don't think it's good enough to justify how expensive it is compared to the numerous AYCE places that have comparable taste and many more options. We ordered the wagyu ribeye steak $49), prime brisket $28.99), and pork belly 27.99). The ribeye and brisket were both really good. I especially liked the ribeye which was super tender, juicy, and melts in your mouth. But I wasn't super impressed with the pork belly which won't be directly grilled on your grill unless you order 2+ and just tasted like any other pork belly you could order for cheaper elsewhere. The difference I guess is the meat here is cooked with a charcoal grill.
Very delicious and authentic Korean bbq experience. Love that they use traditional charcoal instead of just gas. Marinated beef ribs are def my favorite. It would be great if our waitress speak better English and inform us the right time to flip the meat to avoid burnt meat. Since apparently no one is taking care of the process once our waitress put the meat on the grill. ?
