Offers variety of Filipino Foods. Quality wise it's above average! Customer Service is average. Price is a bit higher as compared with other Filipino Restaurant. Offers varieties of goods for take away!
Had a late lunch in this restaurant, and we had no other choices since this is the nearest restaurant we got an eye onto. Well the foods are nice, though we only tried the aroz caldo halo-halo and some sort of "pancit", and as for our drinks i already forgotten the name. The ambience of this restaurant when we dine in is quite weird and it doesn't fit, with the name and theme of the restaurant for some reason. Additional to that, like I said I ordered 2 kind of foods only. But, the one who wrote down our order didn't even told us that the dish was for 2 pax. We ended up not finishing our food, and wasted foods that can be lessen if the order taker recommended or suggested us that the serving is for atleast 2 pax.
WE went to nuvali for our family picnic so together with my Mom-in laws (senior citizen) friends we tried looking for a place to eat our late lunch. Since the place was so crowded, I decided to just order something at Crisostomo because their tables are vacant so we could use their table and eat our "baon" there. I ordered their halo-halo and their suman with chocolate. I was in awe when I tasted it so I encouraged my Mom's friends to order too. Fearing that they might not be able to finish all for themselves, they decided to just order one and divide it among the three of them, I asked the staff if we could do that and they agreed. The 1 single order of halo-halo was then divided into the three of them and the staff made it look like they ordered for 3 small halo-halo which I appreciated so much. I was even able to share mine with my 3 kids and nieces so.. see? expensive yet worth it?
This is a fine dining restaurant for Filipino food. It is located in many upmarket venues in several places. We went to the one at Nuvali area as it was late & on the SLEX we can only get fast food. The ambience is good but few dishes are better appreciated by natives. We ordered Adobong Pusit which was a bit raw squid in its own black ink & fishy for my tongue. Chicken Inasal with inihaw na atay was ok for grilled chicken but the liver part was not well done. Melon juice pitcher was a novelty item but the water was a bit sugary & overpowered the natural melon taste. The restaurant is more on ambience than on food as it sells many herbal items at the entrance. When we went in the night the place was quite empty & that was not a good sign. On the wall are few sketches of Jose Rizal's Crisostomo & Maria Clara from the famous novel 'Noli Me Tangere'. Outside the restaurant is kept an old time ice cream push cart. The chef seems tech savvy & serves mainly for upper end clients with a fusion of original Filipino cuisine.Though the place is high-end the comfort room is outside in a common area. Menu card is glossy & full of visuals but may be it will help outsiders if they add what is popular with foreigners.
