Pook's Crawfish Hole - Santa Fe

A Santa Fe tradition! You could go other places I mean there's even a crawfish drive thru a mile or two away. Lots of places have crawfish down here. But, do they have BYOB and a fun, family/party atmosphere? I think not. Could spend hours here just chatting, drinking a little, and picking those mud bugs!

Self proclaimed as The Best Crawfish in Galveston County , you 'll always find a packed house and a long wait at Pook 's. I 've been waiting for Pook 's from the moment I heard about it. 5 years later, I can check it off the list. At Pook 's, you can purchase crawfish live to cook at home or eat right there in the restaurant. I regretfully come back to inform you, Pook 's was good, but nothing I would drive over an hour for... in addition, the fixins (potatoes, corn) are not included. In other news, I highly recommend taking advantage of their BYOB, as they do not have a liquor license.

5-6 years ago Pooks was a great place to eat. Lines waiting outside almost any nice day and I'd eat there 2-3 times per month, often more. It's just not the same place anymore and I may go once or twice per season last several years. Bummer that this place isn't awesome anymore!

If you ask, there are gluten-free options here. I've had crawfish and crab legs with no problems.
