I initially wanted to order the pork tamal, but I found out they were out of pork, so I opted for an Al Pastor taco instead. They didn't ask my preference and assumed I wanted the crunchy taco rather than the soft, authentic kind. Unfortunately, it was a bit disappointing because I really enjoy Al Pastor. I had ordered a michelada, but it never arrived before I finished my meal. I ended up canceling it and simply ordered a cup of water before leaving. As for the service, on a Thursday evening, it was puzzling how slow it felt. I was visiting for work and noticed that the restaurant was about 45 minutes from closing. I had to wait a while to be seated, and it took about 15-20 minutes for my order to be taken. This might explain why some of the food felt a bit lukewarm. While I was eating, other diners were also waiting to pay their bills. I even saw a couple debating whether to go to the ATM and just leave cash at the front desk since they had been waiting for a while. The ambiance was what you'd expect from a typical Mexican restaurant, which was nice. The main issue seemed to be that the place was running with just one person managing everything. I watched as this individual juggled tasks, moving between the bar, the dining area, and outside to attend to everyone. He was the host, busboy, waiter, and bartender all in one – I wouldn’t be surprised if he was also the cook! He was clearly overwhelmed but handled the situation admirably, apologizing to everyone for the delays. I felt for him and could see his frustration, but he managed to maintain his composure. He definitely deserves a raise for his hard work! Overall, I give this place 3 stars.
Meal Type: Lunch Price per Person: $20–30 Food: ★★★★★ Service: ★★★★★ Atmosphere: ★★★ Recommended Dish: Chimichanga I had a fantastic dining experience for lunch at this restaurant. The food was exceptional, earning a perfect rating of 5 stars. The service was equally impressive, with attentive and friendly staff who made us feel welcomed. The atmosphere was decent but could use a bit more charm, giving it a 3-star rating. If you visit, I highly recommend trying the Chimichanga—it was simply delicious!
Delicious! I had the steak super burrito, and it was fresh and tasty. I can't wait to go back and try more dishes!
The food is quite good, and the servers are friendly and polite, particularly the gentleman who is always present and manages most, if not all, of the orders and transactions. The prices are reasonable, and the portion sizes are satisfactory. The ambiance is average, and outdoor seating is pleasant on nice days, offering morning sunshine and afternoon shade depending on the season. The music varies between Mexican and contemporary, likely depending on the time you visit. However, the decor does feel a bit outdated and worn. Be sure to double-check your bill before settling up, as we've experienced some overcharges on a few occasions.
