Bidra med feedbackIt was my friend's birthday and a bunch of us traveled from LA to surprise her. Chumash Cafe was the place where we decided to bring them. Very quiet when we came in and we were definitely the youngest people around 30-40 years next to the staff, but that was not important. Service was slow considering that it was only 2 or 3 other tables, but the waitress was really friendly so it was not important at the end. Chumash Cafe has some delicious food, I'll give it! I had the beer Battered Fish Tacos as well as some frits with one side of Ranch and it was all super fresh and the fish tacos were particularly delicious. My friends ordered potatoes and Gravy and they were also fantastic. Really cool little discovery.
The seating area of the cafe is a little stark and could definitely use a second look by an alternate interior designer, however, that being said, the food is VERY good. I have had several items on the menu and have been surprised at the quality and quantity of food they serve at very reasonable prices.
Okay, 1 word for this place...YUMMY! The ice cream is very delicious the cookies ..oh yeah!! And the other desserts in the case were beautifully decorated. Had to step away for sure way too tempting!!
Have had many meals there, all have been nicely done and very good. Love there Thanksgiving dinner, have had it many times. Valentine's day special salmon was wonderful. So far not had a miss.
The café was quite busy, with many people around, and I noticed quite a few masks being worn. I often felt unsure, and I suppose that was partly due to my own feelings of confusion. However, apart from that, I found the café to be enjoyable and fun to visit.
