Bidra med feedbackWe ate just a desert afer coming down from Pico Ruivo, and all we can tell you is that it was a good desert. We order pastel de nata, which was the real deal with a crusty shell and creamy filling, and passion fruit cheesecake which was also good!
10/10 if I could rate it more I would. This has been by far the best meal I’ve had in Madeira and Portugal mainland too. Authentic espetada using laurel (bay) wood which is hard to find! We also ordered the soup of the day called sopa de trigo which takes a while to make and I haven’t seen it in any other restaurant, lapas, and bacalhau com natas. Honestly so delicious! Highly recommend! I forgot to take a photo of the lapas when it came out so there was only one left in the photo but it was a full pan. There was also the traditional bolo da caco (garlic bread) and olives which I didn’t take a photo of.
Muy buena experiencia. Pedimos bacalao al horno, estaba estupendo. Las raciones son generosas, y se cena a muy buen precio.
We had three pizzas, and what two were lacking in cooking time, the other got added two of them were good, but a bit undercooked and the third (as shown in the picture) was overcooked to the point of almost being burnt. The passion fruit cheesecake was really good, though, and the staff was friendly and spoke good English. When told about the overcooked pizza, they were incredibly nice, and we didn't have to pay for it.
Excellent, recommend to everyone. Banana beer is awesome. Picado tastes great.
