Nha Hang Hoa Tam Chay - Sapa

Veg rice is a huge part and stewedfake meat is great. Sweet little lady!

Online hours say opens at 8 but we arrived a little after 9 and it was still closed. Came back around 3 and it was open. The food tasted fine- not the best, not the worst. Some items were tasty. I’d say it’s a good place for vegetarians, but a little more questionable for vegans. We thought communication was clear (via google translate) that we did not want egg in the food and the items picked would not have egg but we are fairly certain 2 of the items we ordered did have egg. Luckily my husband still eats egg.

Really disappointed. We had the banh mi which was way too greasy. The bread was yellow because of it and the sauce was too much, it dripped out of it. Vegan sausage was weird taste and there were no herbs as is normal on a banh mi chay. Sapa so far has been a food hell, where other parts of Vietnam are sooo nice!

Food is just 3 stars it was greasy and not much vegetables inside. It tasted ok, but it wasnt special at all. We had fried noodles with vegetables and spring rolls. We also bought two banh mi for take away which were also oily but with a nice, delicious sausage inside. It was very pricey and the owner was very nice. We paid for every dish 50k Dong (2 and for the Bahn mi 25k. So in total 4 stars

Construction outside. Make sure to enter from south side, NOT north. Otherwise food very quick to come, and very good
