Quesada Burritos and Tacos - Saskatoon

The "spicy chicken" was super bland and my quesadilla was soggy and falling apart. My boyfriend got a burrito which was also quite soggy. The salsa was disappointing as it tasted like canned tomatoes... guacamole was alright. We ended up throwing away our food (not cheap) and went through the A&W drive thru instead.

We went to the Stonebridge location. First off, service is excellent! The staff were happy, they talked to their customers even when it was busy. The place is clean and well maintained. The food... Maybe I had bigger expectations than I thought. The food is well, blah, even with the kick up in the spices it just blah. I will say it is 110% better than any Taco time, the stuff is fresh and made right there. You can choose your own topping I like. For the average price of $12 with a drink to make it a combo with chips it was expected.

Picked up three large burrito bowls to go. One steak, one spicy chicken, and one ancho pork. My mother was having the spicy chicken ( and the beef in another bowl) At Quesada, you choose exactly what you want in your dish. It appears the spicy chicken was a bit too spicy for Mom. She did comment that she felt like there wasn't much meat in the dish. I did see what went into the bowl and I noticed it seemed to be a smaller spoonful than when the pork went into another bowl. I believe other than that she enjoyed her bowls, having never eaten food from Quesada before. My favourite here is always the Ancho pork. It is quite authentic to what you would find in Mexico. You do have to try to restrain yourself with other ingredients in your burrito or bowl so that you don't overwhelm the flavour of the pork. It's nice that within the bowl, you can choose to have brown rice rather than having a flour tortilla in a burrito. Note, the large bowl is fairly large and perhaps too big for one meal. You will likely have a little left over. For the difference in price, he might as well get the large rather than the regular size.

You pick your own ingredients for a burrito and get what you pay for. Get the small because it's a lot of food. Mucho Burrito down the street has more options but this place has better flavour. Will be back.
