Bidra med feedbackNot the same boat as last year. Nor the same owner running it. Hope the new guy running it, is legal and has talked with the Coast Guard and has passed inspection. (I doubt it) Not trying to talk down to this this business but the website is giving a false promise on what boat you really are getting on. Safety first!
Had the best time doing this for my bachelorette party! Definitely recommend!
I get a text at 530 a.m. on a Friday, the day before we're supposed to drive that the boat doesn't work and they cancel us. That was for a bachelor party, and we should be there by 1030 the next morning. I was super disappointed about the way they treated things, not even a phone call. And when I tried to reach them, nobody answered. And still wait for my refund.
I got on the 6th. August bought a groupon for them after reviewing the available times on their website. After the groupon purchase I opened the voucher and went on their website with a time they had claimed to have it available, and I got an error code of “invalid code” after inserting manual and also copy and paste. I called the number on the website, sent a message about her “Contact us” portal, and to book about the topic. Nothing. I went down to her office address, there is no one, and no one was on the boat. I only have someone with the company after a competitive boat rental place called it. By talking, the representative, Sam said that he was not available to take someone for the day, this was not his full-time job and he “power” have times tomorrow. I asked him about my groupon code not working on their website, and he said, "Yes, for some reason they don't work on your end on our website." I had to wait for a text back for its availability. We tried to be flexible with times as we wanted to use the already paid groupon and agreed the next day, 8/7, a departure time of 3 o'clock. My group and I came at 2:30 and waited. At 3:00, Sam called and said he didn't come. He said he forgot to tell us that we still have to book on the website and pay additional $414) and that he would refund the difference of the Groupon. I was already in $289 and I didn't want to give them any more money. The exchange of texts on the previous day was not enough to book it. He said he could be a boat at 5:00 to get us out. Since this was a holiday for my family and I, we had planned other things. We had reserved dinner. At this point I had enough of her problems and excuses. Later I spoke to a police officer and DNR, and apparently they are being examined for illegal business practices, and the Coast Guard is also investigating them. They have been pulled several times and are fully aware that they work illegally. Learn from my lesson, save money and headaches. Next stop, Better Business Bureau.
