Carmalino's Pushcart - Saugus

The food here is fantastic, starting with the Fried Tomatoes as an appetizer and moving on to the Chicken Angelique. You definitely won't leave this place hungry!

We traveled from Pennsylvania to Boston today, and it was a really long journey. We weren’t allowed to have dinner until 8:00, and we decided to try this restaurant. The food was excellent—fresh and simply prepared. The service was wonderful; our server, who unfortunately didn’t give us her name, was very attentive. The young man who brought the bread and packaged our leftovers was also polite and efficient. It would be a nice touch if the bread were served warm.

The best Italian food in town. Homemade DC in all her cooking. Tomato sauce is so good. Marsala, Angelique and Chicken Parm and Meatballs make my mouthwater. Good mood for a date, family, business or casual. Seriously eat here and then take some home too! I know my Italian cuisine!!! Great friendly staff and the cook is from the North End from the original Pushcart so you know it well!

I have dined here multiple times, and each visit has been fantastic. The food is always delicious, the atmosphere is inviting, and the service is exceptional. We will definitely return!
