McHugh's Public House - Savage

We went here on a Wednesday early evening for dinner. A thing to keep in mind for those dining during the summer: if it's hot outside it's going to be fairly warm inside in the afternoon. For an Irish themed{? restaurant there was nothing I could find on the menu that would indicate as much. Having been to Ireland several times...this wasn't close. The food was good with decent portion size. The service was good and fast but it also wasn't super busy. However, for not being super busy, though, it was pretty loud. If the owner reads this...please please put up some sound absorption items. We could barely hear each other at the same table.

The bartender came to my table asked what I wanted to drink brought it over. She never came back and asked if I wanted a menu because she was too busy with her regulars. I had planned on eating but didn’t want to bother her with the extra pressure. Atmosphere: 3

Food was just ok. I expected better given the other reviews. Gave it two stars on the food because they didn't put chicken on my wife's watermelon salad like the menu says it has. Price per person: $10–20 Food: 3 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 3
