This restaurant and bar is very very popular with the local people. It is set back in the mountains and in a quite spot. Only the adventurous tourist will find this spot. All through the year the cuisine is excellent and adapts to every season according to the availability of local produce and wines. The establishment is run by a local family and they are always happy to greet guests and to take time to make you at home. There are many events throughout the year taking place at the restaurant like the local Olympic games, music fest and October fest and of course the famous hunting season as well as asparagus season to mention but a few of the fantastic seasonal foods on offer.

This restaurant is about a minute drive from Vetroz, which is in the valley. Very narrow, steep roads past apricot and apple orchards. A very nice evening drive, and I'm sure it would have been more beautiful in the day. Very rustic setting, very...mountain. No neiceties at all. Almost bar-like. These's outdoor seating and indoor, and I would say the indoor is a little cramped but not overly so. The service was very pleasant, but unfortunately, the server was bordering on incompetent. The aperol spritz was nice, but there was some unfamiliarity with how to handle the raclet. I know only because the owner had to come and save the poor girl. I can say I'm not a fan of raclet. I gave it a full tasting having eaten an entire meal of it. I did enjoy the Aperol Spritz tho. I could have endured the slightly used look and feel of the place, the less than competent server, and the cramped setting if we were not charged for each plate. I'm no expert of course, but that just seemed outrageous considering everything around.
