Denny's - Sayre

Colton returned to our table and took my husband’s order for a bourbon burger and my order for a T-bone with eggs and corn tortillas. Once he took our order to the kitchen, the cook shouted out to ask if we wanted the brisket sandwich and the T-bone because the brisket sandwich was ready. Colton then came back to check if my husband wanted the brisket sandwich right away or to have it with his main order. My husband declined, saying to just bring it when it was hot. When my husband received his sandwich, he lifted the bread only to find roast beef instead of brisket, and it was missing the two eggs and bacon that it was supposed to come with. My plate arrived, but Colton had to come back to inform me that there were no corn tortillas available, only flour ones, which I couldn’t eat due to my celiac disease. Then, as I started to eat my hash browns, I found a round rubber ring mixed in with them. We decided to speak with the manager, who kindly removed the meal from our bill. We ended up only paying for our drinks and left Colton a $20 tip. This was, without a doubt, the worst experience I've ever had at a Denny's! It seems they should focus more on their food prep rather than watching the football game and taking smoke breaks.

I ordered the pot roast melt with a perfectly cooked medium egg on top, and it was outstanding. The grilled vegetables tossed in garlic and butter were delicious, and the mac and cheese with white cheddar mixed in was divine. Overall, I can't praise this place enough: A+ for service, A+ for food, A+ for atmosphere, and A+ for conversation. I'm so grateful for this experience. It was truly fantastic!

The food didn’t quite meet my expectations; I would rate it a 2 out of 5. However, I did enjoy the Grand Slam and the Zesty Nachos, which stood out as the recommended dishes. The service was decent, scoring a 3, but the atmosphere left much to be desired with a score of 2. While there are some appealing options on the menu, the overall experience wasn't as enjoyable as I had hoped.
