Castle Foot - Scarborough

English Heritage castle so not the cheapest if you don't have a card but a really nice castle nonetheless. Stunning views of Scarborough and the sea, nice gift shop, cafe with outdoor seating, ice cream van with good quality ice cream and nice toilets. No indoor sections to the castle but bits you can walk up and in and read about. Often a trail/activities for kids to do as well.

Love Scarborough Castle, we visit a least a couple of times every time we're up that way on holiday. Everyone is so friendly, the views are stunning. We'll worth a visit.

I visited this castle today, and I must say that we all had a wonderful time. The history of the castle is fascinating, and there is an option for a guided tour that provides even more information. The views are simply breathtaking, offering panoramic scenery of Scarborough. It's also dog-friendly, and my dog had a fantastic time running around in the large grassy area that surrounds the castle. The prices are quite reasonable as well. We are definitely planning to come back again!

I really enjoyed the walk to the castle and the garden festival at the tip, where I could watch the birds and take in views of the North Sea. The entry fee was quite reasonable, and there was a lovely church nearby, St. Mary’s, where a wonderful community gathered the day before! The views from above are stunning, but be prepared for strong winds; it can feel quite cold even at the end of April. I'm still a bit unsure about the history of the castle and wish there were more physical guides available to help explain the ruins and structures. Overall, it was a nice experience!

The staff at the castle is absolutely amazing, and I can't thank them enough. If you have a blue badge and need assistance, you can park your car up top, which saves you from climbing all the way. The view from above is beautiful. Overall, my experience was excellent. It was a bit windy during our visit, but that didn't ruin anything for me. I enjoyed every moment and hope to return in the future.
