Bidra med feedbackThis is a wonderful neighborhood pub where we felt incredibly welcome. We were staying in a nearby cottage and visited the pub on both nights of our stay. The cozy atmosphere with a fantastic log fire greeted us as we entered, and the lady named Nicola who was serving behind the bar was delightful. The second night, we had a delicious meal with generous portions. Unfortunately, we can't recall the chef's name but the food was fantastic. Everyone we spoke to, including the locals, was friendly and welcoming. We are looking forward to visiting again the next time we are in the area.
Luckily, we found a much nicer and welcoming restaurant called The Coachman just a 5-minute walk away. They accommodated us at short notice and provided excellent service and food. We had a great evening at The Coachman and would highly recommend it.
If you are seeking a good pub lunch, do not bother coming here. They do not serve food during the week, as the waiter mentioned it's only available on Fridays. I was very disappointed as the exterior advertised pub food and their website and Facebook page suggested otherwise.
I had lunch with my son and baby granddaughter on Monday, October 23rd at this restaurant. We enjoyed the Scampi, chips, and Fish Chips. However, what stood out the most was the warm welcome and excellent service we received. They promptly brought out a high chair for my granddaughter and seated us at a cozy table in front of the fireplace, which was perfect on a cold, damp day. A big thank you to Julie, Michelle, and Josh for making our experience memorable. We will definitely be coming back.
This was our local for the couple of nights we stayed in Snainton. It was not even a minute walk from the cottage across the road where we stayed. It is a locals pub but we were made to feel very welcome and everyone spoke and we joined in which was lovely. The barmaid Nicola was really lovely and so friendly, we took our chihuahua Billy in and he was really fussed over. The second evening we went in we had a meal cooked by Andy...... It was gorgeous. I has salmon and prawn linguine served with a crusty cob, David had a homemade pizza and he did 4 different flavours on each quarter as he couldn't make his mind up and he said it was a really good pizza not one just pulled out the freezer. It was blizzard weather on the second day and it was lovely to go in the peacock as it had a big roaring open fire. Great place and would definitely return. It's not posh but it's homely and you're made welcome and I felt comfy which I loved. The review with one star from David is my David who pressed one Star by mistake.
