Bidra med feedbackWe had a wonderful stay. Very cute place-charming. Great front desk staff and restaurant bar area was very nice. Quick walk to the beach. Convenient to Portland and the airport. I would recommend it to friends
One of the best experiences I have had at any hotel. I couldn’t get over how friendly everyone was. The food at the restaurant was excellent! They have great amenities. You can use one of their chairs and a small cooler that they provide in your room.
The Higgins Beach Inn is an annual trip for our family. We absolutely love the inn and the restaurant. The staff is extraordinarily kind. And of course the proximity to the beach puts this experience over the top. We really can’t say enough about this wonderful inn and the people who make it so magical. Thank you!
Very cute inn in Higgins Beach. Built in the 1930s, its been renovated without losing the charm of the old wood paneling. We stayed on the 1st floor, which had an extra room where the front porch used to be. The staff are incredibly nice and accommodating. The restaurant was surprisingly good. Great breakfast was free with our room. The dinner was excellent. Short 1 block walk to the beach. Higgins Beach is a tale of two tides. At high tide the beach is about 30' to 50' wide. At low tide it stretches to 200 yards, and you can walk out an incredible 600 yards along the river to the east without getting your feet wet. Quite an amazing experience to be able to walk nearly 1/2 mile out into the ocean on a sand bar. The Higgins Beach community is very diligent about keeping the beach clean, community volunteers come out at 5 am to rake the beach of seaweed. The surfers were having a blast, kids from 10 into their 70s riding the waves. The boogie boarding was great. We loved our stay here, and we'll definitely go back.Safety: We never locked our door or worried about leaving our things on the beach.
Wonderful location. Absolutely top notch area. The beds weren't the most comfortable thing I've slept on, but I have a bad back and my wife and kids didn't seem to have any issues. The restaurant is amazing and so is the bar downstairs. They have chairs and beach toys for you to take down to the beach and the location is close enough to Portland without having to deal with the craziness of Portland. We visited Old Orchard and are so happy we chose Higgins Beach instead. Shout out to Katie at the front desk and our server each morning (I can't remember her name, but I know she's a teacher) for making the trip all the more special.
