Nonesuch River Brewing - Scarborough

Amazing food and atmosphere as well beer brewed right in house. Indoor and outdoor seating on both levels. It can get loud depending on how full the restaurant is.

Really enjoyed this place. Our waiter, Eric, was a great guy and made us feel right at home. All the food was excellent, all 4 dishes had unique flavors and touches. The only down side was they have a loft they use for parties and a wedding reception was going on and it was raucous and loud so it was hard to have a conversation.

Nonesuch is one of our favorite spots in the Portland area to grab a beer and some food. It is better than any micro-brewery we have been to, as all of their food and beers are crafted with such elevated care that you don 't find often in the brewpub industry. Our favorites are the Mojito IPA and the Crabcake Sandwich! We also have a special place in our hearts for Nonesuch, as they just hosted our wedding reception. We don’t have the words to adequately express how amazing our entire experience has been with the team here, but they have been such a blast to work with and helped us have the wedding we dreamed of. Our food was was delicious, and we were even able to create our own small batch beer for our reception that we and our guests enjoyed immensely! I would highly recommend looking into this place if you are interested in a fun, non-traditional wedding! Thank you a million times over to Heather, Michael, Marina, and everyone at team Nonesuch for giving us the most epic wedding!

This is a great place to have a meal and drink. They have a wide selection of local brews and a seasonal cocktail menu. You always have music, but it's not too loud that you can't hear your table mats. Internal or external seats. Friendly staff. I have eaten here many times and always enjoyed eating my experiences from the seasonal/local menu. I will say that the chicken dishes are always disappointing ( chicken sandwiches... dry and bland) and so I learned my lesson there. But everything else is excellent. Large parts. I'd eat here many times a week if I could!
