Bidra med feedbackIt's a small deli located inside an office building. The menu features chili, a selection of sandwiches, and hot dogs, along with coffee and soft drinks. It's nothing elaborate, but it serves its purpose when you need a quick bite.
The pricing compared to the quality of the food is quite off. If you're in the mood for sandwiches, I'd suggest going to Subway or another sandwich shop instead. For salads, you're better off with a chain like Panera or Corner Bakery; the prices are similar, but the quality here just doesn’t measure up. Since I work in the same building as Deli Time, I've realized that the convenience isn't worth the cost or the time spent waiting for what feels like reused ingredients or inferior suppliers.
This restaurant is seriously overpriced, and the quality of the food is disappointing. Usually, I could overlook this since I work in the same building and it’s convenient, but the current staff shortage has made dining here an unappealing option for me. It’s actually quicker for me to walk to the parking garage, drive somewhere else, and grab a bite to eat than to simply head downstairs. They typically have only two employees working, while a line of around 50 customers waits. What really astonishes me is how slowly the kitchen staff operates; it’s painfully slow, as if they don’t care about the long wait. As a line cook in the evenings, I know I could easily serve ten customers in the time it takes them to serve one, and to make matters worse, the staff isn’t very friendly. They had a fantastic guy in the kitchen who left, and I really hope management notices this situation and implements some necessary changes to enhance the deli experience.
Their soups are tasty, particularly the cheesy beef, and some of their main dishes are really impressive. They offer a selection of cold cuts, salads, and paninis as well. You can also find fountain drinks, juices, sports drinks, and candy bars available. The 20 N. Martingale Rd. location has more of a cafeteria vibe, whereas the 10 N. Martingale Rd. spot feels more like a traditional restaurant. Just a heads-up, there are no free refills. They open early, but the 20 N. Martingale Road location closes at 2 PM, while the 10 N. Martingale Rd. location stays open until 3 PM. I'm not quite sure why they have different closing times.
