Giordano's - Schererville

We had lunch at Giordano's and overall it was a great experience. The price per person was $100 or more, but the quality of food and service definitely justified the cost. The food was delicious, we tried the Famous Stuffed Deep Dish Pizza and the Giordano's Sampler, both of which were highly recommended and did not disappoint. The service was excellent, with the staff being attentive and friendly. The atmosphere was nice, with a cozy feel to the restaurant. We had plenty of parking available in the free parking lot, which was convenient. Overall, I would recommend Giordano's for a nice dining experience and delicious deep dish pizza.

When we arrived at the restaurant, the host was busy rearranging tables and did not acknowledge us. We were seated and waited for 10 minutes before I had to approach the host to ask for someone to take our drink order. The server claimed she did not see us sitting in the corner, even though we were clearly in the front of the restaurant. Our drink refills were delayed as she tended to another large party. Despite her assurances that she would bring them, we had to repeatedly remind her. If it had only been my husband and me, we would have left, but we had guests from out of town who wanted to try the pizza. The lack of attention and service made me feel embarrassed.

2 hours before closing and they already had chairs on tables, guess they wanted to go home asap. Took a good 15 minutes before being greeted and another 15 to get a drink. Wish I had made it last longer because my waitress looked at the empty glass no less than 6 times and never offered a refill. Even went to the bar and the bartender pretended not to see me as well. Food was ok at best, spaghetti, no bread or any kind with it which is unusual. Although baseball playoffs and Thursday night football was on, got treated to East Carolina game on 2 screens and shopping networks and Atlanta Hawks basketball. Last part my be nitpicking, but come on, someone should manage this place.
