The Landing Strip And Grill

It is a dive bar. I guess I should not have put my expectations higher than that. The patio is great and it is fun to watch the planes come in and leave but the service was hit and miss. I never ordered food because a food menu never came out to me. The bar tender could have cared less. Oh well, I had a few beers and left. Maybe next time, I will press harder for the food menu but my thought is if they don't want to sell me food maybe I don't want to eat it? I was really interested in getting my hands on some of their merchandise with their cool logo but unfortunately they did not have anything with the logo on it. No glasses, t-shirt, nothing. Hopefully next time I stop in I can get a glass with the P-40 and lil lady on it.

Very disappointed. Great reviews. Great beer garden. Horrible bartender. Rude. Didn't care. Didn't recognize new customers and certainly did NOT make us feel welcome. I was there 8-13-22 in the mid afternoon. Very disappointed.

Great food and ambience. Constantly hearing sounds of planes landing and taking off which contributed to the vibe. Nachos are on point and great beer selection!!! in and outside dining and drinks. Recommend ???? to anyone!!

Totally dig the landing strip. Love this place it?s eight minutes from economy parking when I go to Chicago and I?m flying out of here if I?m up there a little earlier than I need to be I always stop at the landing strip. If I was flying into Chicago and had a layover I would without a doubt grab myself an Uber and take a 10 minute ride to the landing strip they have a great food , Richies sports bar is right next-door absolutely phenomenal food you might like this place so much you?ll miss your flight and it wouldn?t be all that bad.
