Reith-Alpe Schwangau

We stopped here for a light lunch while visiting Mount Tegelberg and it was quite enjoyable. The food was good and the surrounding views amazing!

We didn't eat, but drank some beers and the kids had hot chocolates. The service was great- they brought out everything to us and were incredibly nice. The views from the restaurant on the patio are just incredible. Wow. There are also sling chairs to...relax in while looking at the alps. Just beautiful.

Was here with a tour group and enjoyed the cable car, slide, the view, and watching hang gliders take off. We did eat here and it was just okay. Slightly more expensive which was to be expected, but the quality just wasn't there. The service...wasn't very good either, they seemed somewhat annoyed to have a group show up.

We were ready to go up at 13:00, the carpark was virtually empty. The cablecar goes up every halfhour. 15€ per person, kids no not go free. Grrrrr. Wenwere a small gruop ascending, 5 of us, amd hardly anyone up there either. Nice panoramic cafe...and restaurant and yes, stunning snowy views. You cannot see the castles from the summit ONLY on the way up. I enjoy going up mountains. Also , next to the carpark is the TOBOGGAN RUN . About 3€ a person and good fun to do this activity. My son and i loved it.

Absolutely loved this little pub in the woods . Tucked far away from the massive overbearing crowds, stop here for a drink and a snack on your way to the cable car. Enjoy your drink on their deck while you view both castles from afar. We...returned here TWiCE we loved the ambience so much. Although the staff do not speak fluent english, we got by with google translator just fine. This is obviously a fave local hangout as all Patrons were german friends and knew each other. Staff are pleasant and hard workers! And we paid HALF for weiners that we would have paid for in downtown Hohenschwangau. Cheap!
