Bidra med feedbackI moved to Scotch Plains on Westfield Avenue in 1980, walking to The Highlander on Park Avenue. I left Scotch Plains for the retirement in Florida in 2003. That said, there are a few things I miss terrible. Two are New York City and The Highlander. I can't find breakfast and lunch. When I first visited, it was an old guy. The helper Marco finally bought the restaurant. I worked for New Jersey Bell phone Verizon) and every morning I left the garage and had breakfast at The Highlander. If I were in the area, I'd eat there too. We were last in Scotch Plains in 2018 and stopped for lunch and watch Marco. I don't know if he's withdrawn, but we'll stop next time. Great guy, great food.
Feels like the 60's and my Food was good. Will be back
My breakfast sandwich was good. They didnt use gloves to prepare the sandwich only takes cash, uggh.
The food and service were excellent. The ambiance of the restaurant had a nostalgic feel that reminded me of my childhood.
This is a fantastic spot with delicious food and amazing entertainment. Marco is a well-known figure in Scotch Plains.
