Bidra med feedbackGreat food and service. Bonus was meeting for drinks at the speakeasy attached to the restaurant before dinner. Highly recommend.
The food I enjoy each my visit and mostly important the human touch and atmosphere created by the lovely and very friendly hosts like Ms. Nicole or Luke whom I see quite often there and today it was excellent as usually when they are there for me!
Arrived during happy hour and sat at the bar to place an to go order. I sat at the end of the bar where you could see where to go orders where placed to keep warm. I order 2 pizzas to go and a glass of wine while I waited. I was told it would take 25 minutes for my to go order. I watched the bartender ask 1 person to keep an eye out for my order the employee was training in the bar that he asked , he was a server learning the bar). I sat there, as both my pizzas sat there until he asked another employee to see where my order was. That is when she gave me my 2 pizzas that were sitting there waiting for someone to pick them up. I watched them place my 2 pizzas in their keep warm box as I sat there. Instead of calling in my order, I placed the order in person so the pizza would be hot. The pizza is good I would give it 4 stars. The service level is worth a 2, not impressed. Two employees were asked before my order was given to me, as I watched my order just sit there. Dissatisfied with the service level. May want to work on your service level before season in AZ!
Would have given it 5 stars...until I got the bill. They charge $12 for a Titos vodka and lemonade in a short glass, which is mostly ice with a squirt of lemonade from a soda gun. I have never ever paid that unless it was a double. The owner must be insane. I am so insulted I will never go there again. Shameless.
While the overall ambiance was okay, I'm so tired of the cacophony of sound as it bounces off hard surfaces and unbaffled ceilings. People like to talk when they eat out and loud restaurants do not invite conversation. The service was acceptable. I ordered the Linguine Frutti Di Mare, it was woefully under seasoned, being one of the most expensive entrees this was disappointing. The seafood (clams, mussels (just shells, no mussels found), shrimp, one teeny, tiny octopus legs, and squid rings) was cooked properly, though the shells were left on the tail end of the shrimp. Salt, pepper and more depth of flavor in the tomato sauce would be a welcomed addition to this entree. The portion size is generous. I took most of mine home and added seasoning, which did improve the dish, but the spiciness was barely detectable. My three companions all enjoyed their entrees: Fettuccine Alfredo, Caesar Salad, and Chicken Parm Sandwich.
