This is a laid-back local bar in Sea Bright. The place is clean, the cocktails are well-crafted, and the staff is very friendly. I’ve only ever had drinks here and haven’t ordered food, but I imagine it’s tasty. There’s a charming, romantic outdoor courtyard that offers plenty of space and is nicely secluded behind some bushes, making it feel more private. When was the last time I had a flawless meal? Last night at Rory's! I started with the shrimp appetizer, which I can't stop thinking about this morning. The shrimp was perfectly cooked—a feat not always easy to achieve in a busy kitchen—bathed in garlic, white wine, and seasonings; it was simply divine. Next, I had the wedge salad, which was incredibly good. I've never seen it presented this way, and honestly, it's the only way that makes sense now. The manageable slices of romaine were arranged across the plate with all the toppings spread on top. Absolute perfection. My husband ordered a blackened fish sandwich. He often makes those for himself and can be a tough critic, but this one was perfectly seasoned and cooked. The beer and wine selection was great, and the service was friendly, genuine, and approachable without being intrusive. The charming garden setting with comfortable chairs and lovely live music made for the perfect meal.
