Our waiter Jack, was less than stellar. Inattentive and borderline rude. Food: 5 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 5
A perfectly comfortable yet classy place to have the most fresh sushi. Service is quick and impeccable. The sushi chefs, if you sit at the sushi bar, will recommend the freshest catches. The live scallop was a pure delight! The bluefin Toro was like butter. Meal type: Dinner Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes: Fresh Sushi
The fish was good, but he gave me rotten avocado. And then I ordered some ribeye steak appetizer and it was off. It wasn’t rotten, but it Had gone off a little bit and they still served it. Their portion size is very small for $22. You get about seven little scraps of fish in the Hawaiian pokey and the whole meal was over priced I barely got anything and it cost me $50 with tip that is so horribly overpriced and the food was not even worth it. Very disappointing. I even told him that The beef was off but he still charge me for it. Parking: You can’t even see the place you can’t even find it. It’s hidden behind. A sign parking is in a parking lot that’s for other places of business. It’s just situated horrible and the food was terrible. I’m not going here again. Tama sushi is much better.
Came here for our first date night post baby for the omakase and left feeling like it was a fun experience, but not sure about the value, hence the 4 stars instead of 5. We sat at the sushi bar and asked for an omakase for $60 pp, so $120 total. The sushi chef gave us about 7 10 sushi pieces each. The highlight was probably the scallop for us. The experience was fun, but when you can order a sushi platter and have so much more food the experience of the omakase left a little to be desired. Maybe I need to have a different mindset around it. I appreciate the chef serving us the items at the bar, but I also wish for perhaps slightly more background or have it be more experiential if it's focusing more on the experience than the quality of food. I'd come back and give it another try though and appreciate that there's an omakase sushi experience at Koi.
