Bidra med feedbackI liked these little Montreal-style bagels a lot more than I was expecting to. They’re chewy enough (well bagels could alway be chewier) and a bit doughy at the same time, which is nice. I guess the high heat of the wood fired oven cooks the outside quickly and leaves the inside pleasantly doughy? My only gripes are that they’re tiny yet still priced the same as any other bagel, and they go stale very fast, so freeze them right away if not eating same day.
I might be a bit biased since I recently moved from the East Coast, where I've had better bagels, but my experience here was disappointing. The bagels I tried were hard, small, and lacked flavor. I visited again on November 25 and ordered an everything bagel with Za’atar-scallion cream cheese. Unfortunately, the bagel was burnt on the outside and undercooked on the inside. However, the cream cheese was quite tasty. I also ordered an iced coffee with vanilla syrup, and I have to say, it was so bad that I couldn't even finish it. Once Stone Way Cafe reopens, I suggest everyone go there for breakfast. If you're looking for a good bagel, I recommend QFC instead.
The restaurant has a pleasant atmosphere—it's clean and comfortable, and the wooden tables are fantastic. The bagels are on the small side, but the coffee is excellent. Overall, it's a relaxed spot to enjoy.
Delicious bagels! They are a bit smaller, but I suppose that’s part of the Montreal style. The cream cheese varieties are fantastic. My favorite is the za'atar scallion spread on an everything bagel.
This place makes amazing bagels, hands down some of the best in the city. Wood fired makes a difference for sure. Try any of their sandwiches they are sure not to disappoint! Coffee on the other had is mediocre at best, try aroom just down the street for a unique experience.
