Bidra med feedbackOur first visit to the Flying Fish for a Valentines Day dinner for my wife an I. We had a 5:45 PM reservation and glad we gave ourselves some extra time to find a parking spot. We arrived on time and were greeted and ushered to out table. The Host was friendly and we were greeted by wait staff promptly. We ordered a few cocktails and decided to get appetizers. We decided upon Drunken Mussels and Calamari. Our drinks and appetizers were turned quickly. The drinks were good and we started into the appetizers. The food was appealing, portions were adequate. The Drunken Mussels were in a white wine sauce but most of the mussels were dry and shrunken, not drunken. The Calamari was really overcooked and pretty tough. On to the starters...I had clam chowder and my wife a classic Cesar Salad, both were very good. For our entrée...we both ordered King Salmon with fingerling potatoes and Asparagus. The Salmon was cooked perfectly to our expectations. Great flavor with a light sauce and nice portion size, nice presentation as well. The prices were not bad and although our appetizers were less than average we'd come back again.
VERY expensive for the quality of food and the overall ambiance. The place was big, cold and empty with no music playing. Menu prices were $40 a plate w/ small servings. Not surprised that this place is empty when the other places around it are slammed.
Wait 1.5 hours for food to come. Slow server. Very salty food.
The service was so slowwwwww. Not sure if our waiter was the only waiter but, there were only 6 or,so,tables filled. Not sure what is going on with this restaurant as it,usually bustling. Food was good but we had to ask multie times for requests and wait. Had coffee with a friend, the next day and she said last time she was there it was awful. Too bad and will not be,going back, especially with out,of town, guests!
Great early lunch had Ahi Poke bowl, great value and quite healthy!!
