Ivar's - Seattle

Ivars is amazing! The food is hot and fresh, the staff is very friendly, and the restaurant is clean. They also gave me plenty of tartar sauce with my order and even included a few Andes mints for afterwards. I love coming to Ivars!

Ivars is a popular seafood restaurant in Seattle. I found it to be decent overall. I tried the seafood combo with chips to sample a variety of their offerings, including fried fish, fried clams, and fried shrimp. My favorite was the fried clams, while the fish and shrimp were good but not particularly exciting. The fries were tasty as well. The clam chowder, a signature dish at Ivars, was okay but had a slightly strange aftertaste that reminded me of microwaved hot dogs, which was unexpected. I may give it another try in the future, as there were a few dishes that I enjoyed.

I can see why they've been around since 1938. The fish and chips were hot and cooked to perfection. The cole slaw was tasty and crunchy. The servers were kind and polite. Visiting the PNW, we'll come again.
