The name of Miner's Landing Seattle comes from the goldstrike of 1897, when a ship laden with gold and happy, successful miners docked at the pier. Today, that good time feeling lives on through fun attractions like the vintage caoursel. The newest Miner's Landing addition, the Great Wheel, lights up at night and offers awesome views of downtown, the Olympic Mountains and Puget Sound. Details Prices Prices vary by business. Fun place to go! Plan for about 5 hours to walk the surrounding blocks and stop at stores.
Breathtakingly beautiful despite the smoke from wildfires.
This is a wonderful space that features restaurants, a carousel, and a beautiful view of Puget Sound. I loved all the intriguing artifacts that decorate the walls; they transported me to a different era.
I visited this spot with my two kids after exploring Pike Place Market, and it's conveniently located just a short walk away, which was great. The pier itself is stunning—clean and full of activities. Outside, there's a Ferris Wheel (the Great Wheel) to ride, along with other attractions like a boat tour and Wings Over Washington. Inside, you can find arcades, ice cream, a vintage carousel, shops, snacks, and a restaurant. We went on a Sunday around 2 PM, and unfortunately, most of the indoor activities were closed, except for the ice cream shop and a few stores in the arcade. We ended up sitting on the pier, enjoying the water and people-watching for a while. This pier is definitely worth a visit, and I’d love to come back when everything is open again!
