Bidra med feedbackPrelude used to be a nice place to get a comfortable and decent meal before the ballet. even though it was somewhat overpriced, given the venue and convenientness, it was rewarding. it is now a buffet something that does not make clear on the Prelude website or on opentable. a buffet. while covid 19, influenza and rsw are on the rise. for $45 plus a mandatory 20% service fee per person. service was mediocre, the server dipped on our table and only. look at us. hasn't told us how the buffet worked until we asked, said we could take our used teller back to the buffet if we want (yes,) and we had to get him down if we needed a little later. then it took 20 minutes to get the leak. no more. honestly, prelude is in the last years, even before the covid 19, but it has sunk (all food and drink service in mccaw hall has to be honest.) we find a new place for the pre-allet dinner and drinks.
I didn't know it was a buffet, especially with covid. I had no idea and wanted to eat only a little bite.
Wonderful food, great service, beautiful wine card. a great place to share with friends.
The buffet was fantastic, the change made it easy to get through dinner in more than enough time to get up for the performance.
Valiant effort to create a fine dining experience not dependent on lots of wait staff. Just hard to avoid the steam table effect of food tending to get dried out. Lots of seafood in the cioppino. Braised ribs were tasty. Plentiful shrimp appetizers. A work in progress.
