Bidra med feedbackThe bhan mi at this pop-up sandwich counter are on the level. They don't use the same cuts of meat as the bhan mi sandwich shops in SF's Little Vietnam neighborhood, but that's okay. The pork belly was tender with crispy crust, and the meatball was flavorful and moist. The Thai tea was a bit strange to my taste buds, but maybe okay for boba fans. Granted, it was more than 2ce as expensive as an SF sandwich, but the meat made it worth every penny.
Aside from the completely unpredictable hours and inconsistent information that I find frustrating, this is a great little spot for Thai-ish food. Everything I've had tastes great, just a little disappointed it's been toned down, ie things like no pate on banhmi, etc. Although I will say my banhmi has been pretty spicy at least! Good for takeout or sitting on the square. Think of it as a fresh view on some traditional dishes.
Or eat here on the third Sunday in a row. Love the food, light and tasty. Four stars instead of five because TODAY is the cabbage too thick. Hopefully it's just a free day for her. Maybe they ask to cut the cabbage thin? Then it's worth five stars.
Everything related to the roasted chicken is simply incredible. I often find myself craving the hot mom sandwich. While it's definitely a popular choice, I have to say it’s not the most thrilling option on the menu.
I had a fantastic experience with their delicious and fresh Banh Mi! They also have a great selection of drinks. My friend ordered the chicken, so I can't speak to its flavor, but she's a regular customer and absolutely loves this place. While it's just an order stand, there are seats available in the plaza where it’s located. I definitely plan to return!
