Sushi Kosho - Sebastopol

Absolutely fantastic! The food and service were exceptional! I highly recommend it!

The food was great with a variety of options available. The ambiance is decent, but there is a children's play area right outside, which might be distracting. I would rate the food a 4 out of 5.

During our visit, one server loudly discussed sidework details right over my head, which was quite distracting while we were trying to celebrate my wife's birthday. It would have been nice to see a manager on the floor to oversee the quality of service; I've never encountered one at Sushi Kosho. Additionally, I noticed the busser eating ice cream behind the bar in the guest's view, and a server was serving alcoholic drinks to the kitchen staff, which contributed to an impression that things were not well-managed. Sadly, our last two sushi rolls were not up to par. I know this place has the potential to do much better. I would have preferred to share my concerns with a manager directly, but there didn’t seem to be one available during our visit.

All the fish tasted old and mealy, had the fried chicken with pickled vegetables, also tasted old. Took 1 bite of them and spit them out. Service was fine. Seems like no one runs the place, no clear managers, cooks just texting away on their phones during service. Probably won't be back

Don’t order to go, I asked to sit in their backyard and was told I couldn’t. I sat just outside and they refused to give me spoons for my miso soup. I asked for Siracha and they were weird about it. Just as expensive to go, but way different treatmentFood: 3/5
