Comus Inn - Selby

We made a reservation for our anniversary dinner and we were not let down. The food and service were both fantastic. The dining room was lovely and separate from the bar, with plenty of space around the tables. We will definitely be returning in the future.

We went to the restaurant on a sunny Saturday afternoon and there was only one other table with customers. It was very quiet and lacked atmosphere. The news was playing on TV, followed by Bargain Hunt. I would have preferred some music. I tried to order a Pinot but they didn't have any, so I settled for a gin and lemonade which had what appeared to be cork in the glass. My "chicken breast" burger seemed to be made from reconstituted, frozen meat and I had to remove some gristle from my mouth. It was not a pleasant experience. However, my husband's lamb dish was good and the portion size was generous. The fresh bread served was delicious. Overall, our opinions were mixed and we decided it wasn't the right place for us.

I recently had one of the best burgers I've ever tried at this restaurant. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. I would definitely go back again. My friend, who is quite picky with his food, also loved his meal.

We decided to call in and try out the restaurant. The premises have recently been refurbished and to a high quality. The restaurant was superb, staff were attentive and friendly and the food was superb and it was served piping hot too

Had a lovely Turkish meal. All four starters were good and they brought a flatbread to share. Main courses were excellent the lamb was really lean and tender. Couldn't fault it.
