Makabana Coffee House - Semarang

Good place to have a coffee. They are very crowd and busy during the day. I dont know if at night. Price is ok. They also have meeting room. The outdoor seating has a nice view around the hill. Parking lot has many here.

Food and drinks are good, and well prepared. But cooking our order seems to take ages. We waited almost 1 hour for the first order. Hate the long wait.

First time in Makabana. The service was great, the ambiance is welcoming chill. Food is pretty good, some Italian classics, Asian, Western some twists.

Came here with huge expectation, but then the food we ordered came around 1.5hrs after we arrived (saved this resto a one-star for a decent free ice tea service for compensation). Also for the Korean Noodle Soup one tasted just like instant noodles (Neoguri). Definitely disappointing. I had a good time eating here before but I think now I’ll have to think twice or maybe more before coming back here.

Nice place but over price and food quality is not stable. 1. Walnut which placed in salad was not fresh , taste like the cookies from old storage in my grand mother since 5 years old. 2. Crispy chicken placed beautiful, but the chicken is over fried. And the price is over than other same kind of cafe and restaurant. Finally, even we complained to waitress, we still not get the positive feedback or apology. We are so sad . That cafe is my friends’ and my lovely place since 4 years ago. Pls make something improvement. 3. We wait the orders for almost 45mins . I don’t know what happened in the back kitchen. we have another meeting after lunch. We spend long time eating lunch , so we have no time to take a rest . We will come again and hope to see the correct service. Tks!
